Where Precision Matters & High Quality is Achieved

Our team of dentists are truly talented, but without the latest dental technology, the best quality of results isn’t achievable. This is because every day new technology is being introduced to the field, offering patients and providers improved precision, comfort, and longer lasting results. We want you to enjoy all of these benefits at Taylor Street Dental, which is why we implement the most modern technology and techniques in our office. You can read more about some of the instruments we utilize below, and be sure to schedule an appointment with us to experience this technology in person!

Soft Tissue Laser

We have three different types of dental lasers in the office, our Biolase Diode laser, our Biolase iPlus Laser, and our DEKA CO2 laser. In many cases, these lasers are able to completely eliminate the need for less precise handheld instruments in treatments, allowing our dentists to offer more detailed care. The lasers each create small beams of light that are able to effortlessly remove oral tissues as well as cleanse areas and kill harmful oral bacteria. This is especially helpful during procedures like cavity treatments and root canals, as well as gum disease therapy.

By investing in laser technology, our practice is also able to make treatment much more comfortable for our patients, as these instruments are able to cauterize the area being treated, helping minimize discomfort during and after the procedure. Because lasers also kill harmful oral bacteria, there’s less of a risk of post-operative infection and higher treatment success rate.

Biolase iPlus Laser

This instrument is incredibly versatile, enabling our team to treat both hard and soft oral tissue with just the power of light energy. Whether it’s being used to prepare a tooth for a filling, set the stage for dental implants, or remove excess gum tissue, the laser gives us an unprecedented level of control and accuracy while being much gentler than traditional methods. It allows us to minimize the treatment area, making the experience in the chair more comfortable for you, which also shortens recovery time.

CEREC Same-Day Dental Restorations

Using our digital impression system, CAD/CAM technology, and our CEREC in-house milling machine, our team is able to create and place dental restorations like crowns in a single appointment. Oftentimes, patients make do with temporary crowns because they can’t find the time to come back in to have their permanent one placed, which can put them at risk for needing a root canal in the future, or having the temporary crown fall off, causing an inconvenience. Thanks to our ability to prepare teeth, create crowns, and place restorations, all within a few hours, we’re able to make the process more doable for those with busy schedules.

Digital Impressions

Although many offices still use dental putty, that’s no longer the most precise way to capture impressions. We use our Primescan digital impression system to create detailed 3D blueprints of the mouth that we can then send to our in-house milling machine or dental laboratory to craft perfectly-fitted dental restorations and oral appliances. The process is fast, accurate, and much more comfortable.

CT/Cone Beam Scanner

While traditional digital X-rays are an excellent way to diagnose more basic oral health conditions, like cavities, more advanced diagnostic imaging is important for complex treatments and surgical procedures like root canals and dental implant placement. For these treatments, precision is paramount to a successful outcome, which is why we’ve spared no expense investing in our Myray CT scanner. This allows us to capture a 3D blueprint of your entire facial structure, allowing us to view the location of your sinuses, jawbone density, and even nerves.

Intraoral Cameras

Our intraoral camera is a sleek handheld, pen-shaped device with a camera on the end of it that our team can effortlessly maneuver around your mouth. The camera is able to take still images as well as display live video footage, allowing us to show you exactly what area of your mouth we’re looking at. These capabilities allow us to better inform our patients about any diagnoses we make as well as explain our treatment recommendations. Patients also get to see what was done, be more involved in the treatment process, and truly appreciate the dentistry provided.

3D Printing

Our office is also equipped with a cutting-edge 3D printer that allows us to design and create models to provide you with a visual representation of what your smile will look like, as well as customized surgical guides. These are especially useful when it comes to procedures like dental implant placement, allowing our team to precisely secure the implants at the ideal location within the mouth.

Sedation Dentistry

While our team of experts are known for their friendliness, patience, and love for what they do, there are certain situations in which even that may not be enough to help you feel comfortable in the treatment chair. If this is the case, we offer safe and fast-acting nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation to help you relax during your cleaning or procedure.
